Surprise! it has been an entire year since we have been here on blogger to talk about hiking and it has, been quite a year.  We are now somewhat settled in Tucson, Arizona having said good-bye to Germany in August; but anxiously looking forward to getting back to Europe to hike, and soak in the culture surrounding this endeavour that we so fondly look back on. Two years ago we hiked Offa's Dyke Path in Wales and loved the venue so much that we are taking a crack at the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path framing much of the western coast of Wales. As you can see from the photo above, almost the entire way hugs the coastline of Wales which is said to promise panoramic views along the entire route.  At 180 miles (290km's), we have planned for 12 days of walking along the rugged but not technically challenging path from Amroth in the south east to St. Dogmaels in the north west.  With it's coastal position, we are expecting maritime climates (read...a lot of rain) and a ...
